Wild Florida is the only place in Orlando where you can tour the Everglades on an airboat and then have a wildlife park experience! On the exciting airboat ride you can find alligators and exotic wild life as you glide through 4,200 acres of untouched nature preserve. Their swamp is free of any development and is 100% pure Florida wilderness. After the airboat ride you can check out the 500 foot dock that overlooks the swamp and then get your picture taken while holding a baby alligator! Wild Florida is the home of bald eagles, deer, cows, boars, turkey, alligators and more. After visiting the brand new wildlife park addition, head on over to the restaurant for delicious food at the Wild Florida authentic barbecue! Then stop by the gift shop and pick up some authentic alligator teeth and other unique gifts!
Review – The last time I was in Florida was 15 years ago and all I remember was the longest road trip of my life and going to Disney World. This time around, it was so nice to see that there are so many other fun and exciting things to do and see that don’t involve theme parks! Wild Florida was a perfect example. It was a great first-stop on our five day adventure. We started off with the airboat ride. I had no idea what an airboat even was until my son told me they sometimes had them on Billy the Exterminator! He was so jealous! Even though it was FREEZING outside (relatively) I had a blast! The scenery and wildlife were gorgeous! I was so excited to see a wild alligator for the first time! They are actually quite beautiful creatures, in my opinion. The baby alligators we saw were so adorable!
We also saw turtles, a bald eagle, several beautiful birds, and some cows. I loved learning about the everglades and was shocked to find out that the entire time we were out on the water, it wasn’t more than 3-4 feet deep! The airboat glides over the greenery, sticks and water so gracefully! After the airboat ride we were able to check out the rest of the park which included, my favorite part, being able to hold an alligator! Next we walked through the Wildlife Park and saw several enormous alligators and other local animals. We finished off with a delicious BBQ! The ribs were super tender and I loved the garlic bread! The peacocks ended up eating half of my bread, but they were so cute and friendly, I couldn’t resist feeding
them! I had a fabulous time at Wild Florida and would definitely take my family back the second I get a chance! The entire staff was so helpful and informative. You could tell that they care immensely for the park and wildlife.

I love to go camping…..Thanks for the info!!
I have lived in Florida for 12 years now and have yet to go to the Everglades, yet alone take a ride on an airboat. It sounds like it would be so much fun though. Making a mental note to do so this summer.
There is a lot of wildlife in Wild Florida, amazing! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
This place looks great!
That is so cool! thanks for the post, as I will be taking the kids to florida this summer, I will definitely keep them in mind!
I used to live in Venice and Sarasota Florida for a short while long long time ago now.. I am from California and am back in Cali now.. I found the east coast to be a whole other world from the west coast.. I had a most wonderful time there.. salt water and fresh water crocs.. swiming with the stingrays human burial grounds lining most of the gulf side beaches.. I had to rent according to which boat dock had the smallest croc living under it as i have a grave fear of being eaten alive.. but I never heard of wild Florida.. maybe someday I’ll get back that way someday.. awesome memories you sparked for me..
Florida is amazing. This reminds me of the time that my husband and I rented an airboat but had to return it immediately. DH couldn’t figure out how to steer the thing!
awww, that is so cute! hugging a baby croc is so wild!
Thanks for the reivew. I’ll add it to my Florida vacation plans.
I’ve never heard of Wild Florida until now, but just reading through your review has me very intrigued! I like the idea of a natural preserve that’s still open to visitors. All the wildlife you get to see makes this a unique experience, and obviously the most important part – actually holding an alligator!! I don’t know if I’m courageous enough to do that, but I think that would be quite a memory to have! Thanks for your review; I’m going to keep Wild Florida in my places to see in Florida.
It was a nice alligator
