I know a few schools don’t start until the 10th but for the most part, everyone’s back into the swing of things…including sharing germs.  Kids in school=shared germs.  There’s no way to avoid it.  It happens every year.Kleenex’s Back to School Website has a lot of great tips for protecting your kids (and you) from those germs- and some FUN activities too!

    My best back to school tip is to have EVERYTHING the kids are going to need. Keep a supply of poster board, pens, pencils, lined paper, etc. somewhere that the kids can easily find on their own. It saves lots of aggravation for those Sunday nights when your child says those dreaded words, “Do we have any…..” and then tell you it’s for a project due THE NEXT DAY

  12. Have a family calendar in the kitchen where everyone can see each others schedules/appts!

  13. My back to school tip is keeping a calendar of when stuff is due so you dont lose track!

  14. My best tip is to try to do as much over the weekend — prepping what you can for lunches, organizing paperwork, planning outfits, etc. — to make life a whole lot easier when the school week begins!

    I think making lists, or using a dry erase board to list activities/events of the week, is a good way to keep track of everything :)

    my best back to school tip is to get prepared early. do not wait until the last minute and try to get everything done the night before school starts. you will be tired and get frustrated!

    we make sure to wash our hands a lot and I keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my sons backpack.

  21. Get everything done ahead of time that you can- have the things you need for projects so you aren’t running out at the last second, papers signed, money grabbed, lunches and backpacks packed, shoes found, etc before going to bed, and have the coffee ready when you first wake up!

    My best back to school tip is to adjust your schedule if possible to make sure you are up and awake before kids start waking up.

  25. Prepare the night before, get clothes out, backpack packed and lunch boxes filled. Morning are crazy enough without having to worry about doing all of this while getting the little ones up and fed. thank you!

  32. When it comes to back to school the best thing to do is make sure that you have all the things they will need on day one…that way you don’t have to hurry out and get something last minute.

  36. Prepare the night before. Get clothes set out and breakfast ready to go to minimize the rush in the morning.

  37. Consider gas prices before you run all over to several stores trying to catch sales at all of them. It might be better on your wallet and your nerves to shop at one or two stores nearby for everything.

  38. Make sure your kids get adequate rest! My kids go to bed at 8:30 and they are 8, 9, and 13. The brain needs good rest to absorb knowledge!
