OK friends. It’s September, and just about everyone is back in school. I know a few schools don’t start until the 10th but for the most part, everyone’s back into the swing of things…including sharing germs. Kids in school=shared germs. There’s no way to avoid it. Start getting ready early so there is less stress.
This year I have one in Kindergarten and one in preschool. My best school tip is plan ahead…clothes, supplies, homework, lunches…just plan ahead.
start the school schedule a week early – getting up early, bedtime routines, etc.
The best tip I have is to take advantage of rebates! They may be a bit time consuming, but they can sure save some dough!

My best advice is to have the kids on a consistent schedule for bedtime, getting up and breakfast
Make sure kids get a good breakfast, even if a quick one, you can choose healthy things for kids like hard boiled eggs (cooked ahead), fruits like blueberries and other berries. These have been proven to improve test scores and keep a child focused.

right b4 school starts there are lots of kids consignment sales…use coupons and rebates to get school supplies free.
Breakfast is critical! Make sure the kids know it’s non-optional.
plan everything for the morning the night before so there’s no rushing.

My tip is to prepare their stuff the night before. IE get lunches ready, clothes laid out etc
Shop sales all year long to get your school supplies extra cheap! Also, keep an eye on on children’s consignment shops all year for name brand clothes at half the regular price at least!

One thing I learned has been…breakfast is sooooo important!
Try to everyone to bed early on school nights, especially the first few weeks.
I like to make sure my kids have tissues/wipes in their bokbag or purse or whatever all the time!
