Kids Frugal Fun-Family Hand Print Art

family hand print art

Each week Momondealz bring us  a craft that is fun, educational, and frugal. My boys are growing so quickly and I just love hand print art so this week I decided to make Family Hand Print Art using corkboard and the kids’ hands.

Just a side note, Momondealz said she laminates as much as she can when doing games such as this-it really helps preserve the pieces!

Family Hand Print Art

Materials:
Cork board
Ribbon
Paint
Paint Brushes

Directions:
1. Paint the entire front side of your cork board pieces and allow to dry (just to be safe we let them dry overnight).

2. Paint the hands of everyone in the family (Will LOVED painting his Daddy’s hands) and have them leave their handprints on the cork board.

3. Hot glue ribbon to the back of the boards and hang!

    WHAT a great IDEA!

  3. Angela Cash says:

I work at a daycare with a limited budget for craft supplies. I think I can substitute cardboard for the cork for an inexpensive activity for the kids. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. I think al of us have the hand print pictures from our children’s grammar school days. Using cork board, however, makes these preicious prints longer lasting, in a choice os sizes and turns the art into a family fun project.

so cute and easy to make.

I like the style of this one, we just did one on a painting canvas with each childs hand print in a different color, all kids on the same canvas, it looks great, but I like this way too! :)

THIS LOOKS LIKE A RELATIVELY EASY CREATION I WOULD SAVOR FOR YEARS! IT’S ACTUALLY SOMETHING I WOULD CONSIDER SPENDING LOADS OF MONEY ON TO HAVE PROFESSIONALLY DONE, & NOW HAVING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, WILL RECONSIDER & DO IT MYSELF. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS POST. NEVER THOUGHT I’D FIND SOMETHING SO USEFUL WHEN JUMPING AROUND A RANDOM BLOG! =)
