Kelly Edwards from HGTV talks kid decor- with Wall Tracks! #Giveaway

kelly edwards, design on a dime, tacky house, hot wheels wall tracksLiving in a smaller home like we do, space is a commodity.  Thanks to folks like the talented Kelly Edwards, host of (one of my favorite networks) HGTV’s “Design on a Dime” and STYLE Network’s “Tacky House,”  those of us living in real houses without a large budget or designer are able to have great tips, suggestions for affordable design options.  One thing I like?  She focuses on affordable design options for kids.  My kids have 11×11 bedrooms.  Each has 2 windows and 2 doors (entrance and closet) .  There isn’t a lot of wall space or floor space left after you factor in a dresser and bed..which means there isn’t a lot of storage space.  Thanks to ideas from Kelly Edwards, we can take the design and storage UP- to the walls, with Hot Wheels “Mid-Air Madness” Wall Tracks.  We tried out some Hot Wheels Wall Tracks this winter, but passed them along to a local charity for donation.  These are so much fun and what a great way to maximize space – and add some fun decor to a little boy’s room.  No big mess and tons of fun.  We put ours up under my son’s Batman bed in his “cave.  Very cool!

Some bloggers had the chance to ask Kelly Edwards some questions a few weeks ago, and  you can check out the video below to hear more about what fellow bloggers wanted to know, and what Kelly had to say for suggestions for some DIY Design Tips!  I know that I need to take some of these ideas and implement them, especially as my kids get older and play with the same toys for longer periods.
