My Thoughts:
I was sent a pair of Hush Puppies Ginger slippers to review recently, and am loving them! As a mother to two girls under the age of 2, I am constantly on my feet much of the day, and in need of proper foot support. Since welcoming Arabella in November, I have noticed that there are days when I am still in my pajamas and slippers come noon time. It is not until the girls go down for an afternoon nap that I have time to shower and get ready for the day. With my luck, I find that on these days, the postman knocks at the door needing a signature, or someone else comes calling unexpectedly. What mom wants to be caught off guard like this? I sure don’t like it. But, after being pooped and spit up on all morning, the last thing that crosses my mind when answering the door is vanity. Every year for my birthday, I ask my husband for a new pair of slippers, as I wear mine out from being on them all day long, and using them for trips to the mailbox, to walk the dogs with, and for a quick stroller ride up the hill with the girls. Even though I got a pair in November, before Arabella was born, they quickly broke down from wearing them most of the day, for around the house use, as well as for outdoor errands. What attracted me to this new collection from Hush Puppies was the design options (either a flip flop silhouette or a clog design), as well as the use of plaid in the straps and trim. What can I say, I am “mad about plaid.”

Did I mention how comfortable these slippers are? I feel like I am walking on clouds when I wear these durable and lightweight slippers, made for indoor and outdoor use. Other slippers I have purchased in the past, which claimed to be for indoor and outdoor use, were either uncomfortable to walk in, broke down quickly, or absorbed water into the outsole due to poor craftsmanship. Since receiving these Hush Puppies slippers from Grandoe, I have not been disappointed once, nor left with sore, achy feet at the end of the day. And, when the postman comes calling, he even compliments me on my stylish slippers.
With the summer fast approaching, I can’t wait to go in and out of the house in these slippers, as I enjoy lounging at our pool or strolling through the neighborhood with my daughters. As a busy mom on the go, the last thing I want to spend time doing is finding and putting on my shoes, only to take them off a short time later. Instead, once I step into my Ginger Hush Puppies slippers from Grandoe in the morning, I am ready to go indoors and outdoors, all day long, without having to stop and swap out my footwear.
