I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for excuses to try out new baby gear. Before now, I never had a small baby in the winter time and therefore never needed to worry about keeping them warm while traveling. Now that the weather is turning cool, I need to keep baby L all bundled up when we travel, but hate the idea of putting him a snowsuit every time we go out. In my search for the perfect solution I ran across the Bundleme by JJ Cole. This is a one-size-fits-all cover that zips up around a car seat or stroller.
I am sure all of you moms out there are familiar with the JJ Cole brand of baby items. They offer everything from diaper bags, strollers and car seats to diaper stackers and pacifier pods. Because I have run across this brand many times in the past, I had very high expectations of the Bundleme and I sure wasn’t dissapointed.
The very generous folks at JJ Cole sent me anUrban Bundleme in the color Ice. The Bundleme comes in several different styles, including: Original Bundleme Thermaplush, Arctic Bundleme, Urban Bundleme, Bundleme weather resistant and Lite Bundleme. You can see that they have clearly covered their bases! This item is offered in a style and design that is sure to fit any mom’s needs.
I chose the Urban Bundle me for the style and color choices. I thought that the design was slightly modern and the ice gray color is universally appealing. It doesn not clash with my car seat colors and blends in nicely.
“The quilted outer nylon of the Urban Bundleme protects against wind and rain while the luxuriously soft inner thermaplush™ adds style and warmth.
• use with car seats, strollers, and joggers
• wind and water resistant
• machine washable
• removable top for easy temperature control
• allows safety straps to rest directly on child
• crash tested- FMVSS 213″
The Bundleme arrived in a nice zippered pouch which I love. I always save these packages for storage when I am done using them. I just love the ice gray color. It looks classy without being too bright. It matches the dark gray background of my carseat nicely. The outer quilted shell offers a nice design and the inner thermaplush is really soft and warm. My little guy just loves taking a nap in his carseat with the bundle me covering him. It keeps him nice and toasty, but we have never had a problem with overheating. This cover will work nicely from fall through winter. Installation was also a snap. There is an elastic strap on the top of the carrier that simply slides over the back of your carseat. I just pulled my car seat shoulder harness and buckle through the velcro slots in the back of th carrier and Voila! Installed. I like that there is no interference with the actual buckling system of the carseat and that there is no disassembly required to install the cover. I had it ready to use in a flash. The sides simply zip up and your baby is ready to go. No coat required! I usually just place my baby in his car seat with the Bundleme and a hat and he stays super warm.
I don’t know why I never tried one of these before. They are fabulous and make travelling in the winter so much more convenient. I think it is great for moms who wear their babies in slings and carriers as well. You don’t have to worry about undressing your baby before putting them in the sling. Just take them out of the car seat and place them directly in the sling. The Bundleme is offered in infant and toddler sizes up to 3 years. I may even purchase another one for my 2 year old!
One of our lucky readers will win their very own Bundleme in the color of their choice!!
I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review. Opinions are my own.
