With the kids going back to school, in just a few short weeks, I’m gearing up to be packing snacks and lunches daily. Part of deciding upon and planning those snacks and lunches, of course, includes what they are stored and carried to school in. I will always choose safe, reusable containers for our family needs, and school snacks and lunches are no exception. Nalgene is for sure one of the first brands that comes to mind, and one of the first brands I reach for when shopping in stores and online. (Or “click” for, I guess, online?) Nalgene offers durable, lasting, safe and affordable storage options for food and beverage storage.
Nalgene sent the Grip-n-Gulp for my ‘little’ ones. Far more grown up looking than a regular old sippy cup, and far more durable (and leakproof, in my experience), these fun colors and smaller sized water bottles are a great way to get your little ones wanting to drink more water! My kids are pretty good about asking for water but I don’t think there’s such a thing as “too much” water and if a fun water bottle makes them want more water, I’ll gladly comply with their requests. As a mom I love that they want water to drink, but I’m also happy that the container they are drinking from isn’t going to leak and make a mess, and also that it is BPA free and safe for the kids to drink from.
We also received the Mini-Grip bottles for the “big” kids for their lunches- they are kind of too old for anything “sippy
spout” so having a smaller sized option that’s also leakproof works really well for them, especially since the bottles are still in fun colors. I like the bright colors and the lack of designs on the bottles- although we did put some name labels on the bottles for identification (and as a nice surprise, the stickers we had happened to match the color of each of the kids’ bottles they received!!)
Nalgene also offers two new products, the On-The-Fly (OTF) and the Multi-Drink (pictured on the right—>)water bottles that will help keep your household hydrated in a cost-effective manner. Parents can save money on expensive bottled water by giving their kids these re-usable Nalgene water bottles! These hydrating essentials with easy-to-use loop top caps are 100% leak proof so you don’t have to worry about unwanted spills. You can sip, gulp, or slug with the Multi-Drink bottle, which has a straw and a sipping valve so you can have the best of both worlds. Kids will love to show up on the first day back to school with these hydrating essentials, which come in a variety of bright colors! Both of these products are BPA-free, under $15, and also make the perfect accessory to any of your favorite family-oriented activities.
We opted to not choose the On-the-Fly or Multi-Drink for our review because I wanted water bottles for packing in lunches- we have a few On-the-Fly bottles in the house already but as much as I love them they are not 100% leakproof and not something I’m putting into lunchboxes. Those are far better for car rides, park days, etc. They are actually my go-to water bottle I keep with me when I’m out and about for myself and the kids! I love them!Packing your child’s lunch has never been so easy using the Nalgene storage jars, keeping whatever you decide to put in them organized and air tight. Because of their easy screw-on lids, you never have to worry about having the tops come off by accident as with other tupperware containers. Whether you want to save leftover dinner for your kids or you need to pack your child’s school lunch, this durable container will be the perfect way to save money on single-use food packaging.

What a great giveaway! I am determined to pack my son’s lunches this year (now that I’ve realized how inexpensive eating at home can be with coupons), and any help I can get with packing efficiently and effectively is most welcome. I would love to win the storage containers and give them a try.
