Mamas and Papas Bouncer Review and Giveaway

As you well know by now, I am expecting baby #3 very soon.  One thing that I have learned along the way is that batteries are evil!  The more children I have, the fewer items I own with batteries.  I have even been known to take batteries out of toys.  The kids usually don’t even notice.  So when it came time to look for a new bouncer I was having a hard time finding one that fit my standards.  I was looking for something battery free (of course!), gender neutral, easy to use and with quality construction.  I don’t need all the lights, music and automatic bouncing.  I just want a nice, neutral, baby themed bouncer that works well and is durable.

You would be amazed at how difficult it is to find a really simple and cute bouncer.  I was absolutely thrilled when I ran across the Mamas and Papas website.  Not only do they carry EXACTLY was I was looking for in a bouncer, but their entire line of products are absolutely gorgeous.  They carry a wide selection of Strollers, Baby Carriers, Bouncers, Highchairs, Toys and Positioners.  The design and style of their products are right up my alley.  Simple, quality and designed with baby appropriate colors (no bright primaries, I can’t stand that!)

After much deliberation, I decided to try out the Mamas & Papas Nest bouncer.

My Impressions: 

The assembly of this bouncer was simple.  I didn’t even need the directions.  Just slip the base into the frame and you’re done!  I love how the wood base is modern looking and fits in with any decor.  It is also extremely durable.  You can tell that this is a high quality item just by looking and handling it.  The cream colored fabric is light and neutral but stain resistant at the same time.  No batteries!  There is a simple rocking and bouncing mechanism.  Simply flip the wooden piece on the bottom of the bouncer to convert it from bouncing to rocking and vice versa.  The colorful hanging toys keep babies attention.  They are attached with simple velcro closures that can be easily removed if desired.  The safety buckle is quite sticky at first, but does loosen up with use.  I had to play around with mine for a couple of minutes to figure out how to squeeze each size of the buckle to release it.  One fabulous design feature is the buckle cover.  This is a flap of fabric (the same as the chair) that uses a strong magnetic closure to cover the buckle component.  This protects baby from the plastic buckle and prevents accidents or injuries.  Overall, I just loved this product!  Absolutely no complaints, other than the sticky bukcle.  I can’t wait for my little one to try this bouncer out!
