So we’re moving the kids’ bedrooms around ($50 Cymax Stores giveaway)

When Baby B was on the way, we weren’t sure what to do about our kids’ sleeping arrangements.  We have a three bedroom house and won’t be moving anytime soon- nor is an addition in the budget (ever?!) so one way or another, someone will be sharing a bedroom.  My kids, if you don’t know, are pretty close together in age- 25 months apart from Busy to Buddy and then 23 months later, Baby B came along.  What we decided when Baby B was born was to move the 2 older kids in together even though they are boy/girl and keep the baby in her own room.  It’s worked for 21 months but I think its time to change things up. 

Well, since I started this draft, I lost my mind and began the change earlier this morning.  I’m not really sure at what point in time that I lost my mind, but I’m fairly certain its gone for good.  All three kids were “helping” me.  Here’s the thing.  The “dressers” we have are tiny, like nursery sized for 2 of the kids.  Busy B has a bit larger dresser but I believe the set it began its life with actually started out as part of a set that also had an armoire.  This means we have no storage for clothing.  I can’t do cute little bins like I want to because my children are little and in all likelihood, seeks and destroy.  I have to face facts, pay the piper salesperson and buy some modern bedroom furniture.  We don’t need nor desire to go fancy or expensive- the kids are little and I’d rather wait to invest more until they can take better care of things. 

In the girls’ room, I think one choosing one of the many options for triple dressers might be the way to go.  I do have to get Buddy B’s racecar bed out of there first, before I can even attempt this.  Sigh.   Its tough- we really do need to have three dressers, one for each kid- I don’t see a way around it.  The dresser my son uses was actually what my sister used to store table linens in a closet with for years- its just too tiny.  Perfect for a nursery, not perfect for a growing boy especially when seasons are changing and weather can be 30-80 degrees in the same day.
