If you haven’t yet heard of Gnomeo & Juliet, the humorous twist on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, well, I’m not sure where you’ve been!! It is such a cute, funny movie and has, in my opinion, succeeded in updating a timeless tale for the modern day- not that anything could replace the original. Even Mr. S. himself has a cameo (one of my favorite parts of this film) and you don’t want to miss it!!

Gnomeo & Juliet will be released on May 24, 2011 in 3-Disc Blu-Ray Combo Pack, 2-Disc Blu-Ray Combo Pack, and 1-Disc DVD. Included on ALL discs are bonus features including “Elton Builds a Garde,” “Frog talk with Ashley Jensen,” “Crocodile Rock Music Video featuring Elton John and Nelly Furtado.” Blu-Ray discs, as always, come with tons of extra bonus features including deleted scenes (almost always a great thing to watch repeatedly!!) and alternate endings among other things. Definitely one I’m happy about adding to our video library!
