Bashful Bump Maternity Bodysuit Review and Giveaway Ends 5/30/11

What expectant mom hasn’t struggled with ill-fitting maternity clothes? We’ve all been there. The exposed lower back (always a favorite of mine) or the mama belly peaking out from underneath your shirt. Nobody wants to see that, and now they don’t have to! The folks at Bashful Bump have come up with an ingenious idea. The maternity bodysuit. Ok, Ok, I know that some of you are sniggering to yourself. But honestly, this is a GREAT idea. This product is perfect for early in pregnancy when regular shirts are too short and for the end of pregnancy when no shirt is going to cover that bump, and even your maternity shirts start riding up towards your belly button. I love that this is a bodysuit, but who would ever know?


I tried out the Tank Top bodysuit in white and I use it for layering my spring and summer pieces. This item allows me to expand my maternity wardrobe by adding in some of my larger tops into the mix. I am able to wear them over my bodysuit without being exposed. I could easily wear this garment alone in the warmer months too. I love the cut of the tank top. It isn’t too revealing, but not too modest either.

The design of this garment is well thought out. It has a small amount of side ruching for a more fitted and flattering look and a built in shelf bra which is fabulous. The bodysuit is a nylon and lycra blend that is comfortable against the skin. In addition, it is completely machine washable and dryable. I love that the snap closure is located in the front for easy access. It is really easy to unfasten and fasten for those frequent trips to the restroom (and believe me, I’m their a lot these days).
The bodysuits are available in 4 different styles: camisole, tank top, cap sleeve and three quarter sleeve. They are also available in full seat and thong styles, in either black or white.
