Ah Goo Baby Plush Pad Review and Giveaway Ends 6/7/11

Have you heard about the Plush Pad from Ah Goo Baby?  They have been featured on the Today Show and in several magazines.  The brand has won several awards for their innovative product.  This is a changing pad with a twist.  It has a 5/8″ thick memory foam center and beautiful fabric covering on the outside.  The memory foam piece where the baby lays is covered by an ultra soft minkee fabric which is super cozy against baby’s skin.  Because the pad rolls up, it can be used for travel, on the go or at home.  I use mine almost exclusively at home.  It now has a permanent home in my diaper changing area.  When I’m not in the nursery,  I usually change diapers on the floor or on the couch with a blanket underneath.  However, I usually find that a blanket can be too bulky and the size is just too large.  I now use the Plush Pad for quick and easy changes on the floor and I love it!   The memory foam is soft and comfortable, my baby loves it and it’s just the right size at about 2 feet square.  Plus, it just looks cute!  I can see how this pad would also work nicely for tummy time or baby classes.

The Plush Pad feels like an upscale product.  The designer fabrics are all beautiful and the memory foam is such a nice addition to the pad.  The quality of the product is superb.  The pad can be washed in the washing machine once the foam piece is removed.  There is a hidden zipper on the back that allows access to the foam insert.  Ah Goo Baby also sells memory foam replacement pieces for a reasonable price.  However, I personally don’t anticipate needing to replace the foam unless this pad gets extensive wear and tear.

Ah Goo baby offers 13 cool and modern pattern choices.  I went with Spa.  It’s a funky design with white, black, green and purple.  I just love that the patterns have great vibrant colors and designs, without feeling “babyish”.  To me, that speaks to a more upscale and modern product.

Want to see how it works?  The fabric “wings” fold in and snap in three places for travel.  You can then roll the pad up, secure it with the sturdy elastic straps and stick it into your diaper bag.  It is quick and easy for on the go.  The memory foam instantly expands once the pad is unrolled.

The Plush Pad comes packaged in a nice sturdy box with a velcro closure.  You could easily wrap the box with some cute paper and have the perfect baby shower gift.  This product is definitely something new that you won’t find at every other baby shower.  At a price point of $29.95, it is the perfect price for gifting.  I actually have a baby shower to attend next month and have decided that this is the item I will be bringing.  Now I just have to choose the pattern, that’s the difficult part!
