Freschetta by the Slice -What a Mom Wants (giveaway)

Convenient foods aren’t always the best tasting foods for me.  Once in a while I stumble on a  product that’s convenient that I actually like- and the new FRESCHETTA® By the Slice is one of them.  They come in four different flavors, although the BBQ Recipe Chicken is by far my favorite!! We also tried the Six Cheese Medley, but there is just something about BBQ and chicken on pizza that makes my tastebuds all kinds of happy.

I am not the first person to grab convenience products at the grocery store.  We don’t buy a lot of that, I prefer to simply buy in larger quantities and put things into reusable packaging.  That said, there are times when convenience is, well, convenient, and I can tell you that with all of the illness we’ve had in this house the past few months, when one of the adults is sick, or gets stuck working late, or having to work a surprise day, convenience foods have saved the day on more than one occasion.  (Hey, I’m green, but I’m practical).  I can promise you my husband was more than happy to have some convenient pre-packaged foods around this weekend when I was in bed not moving except to moan pathetically for 36 hours this weekend.

We were sent a coupon to try the FRESCHETTA® By the Slice for free, and also a 6 piece canister set from Freschetta which I really like because it has silicone seals on the lids and clips that really keep things on snugly!!   Moms want containers to stay shut so no messy leaks!!   The pizza slices themselves are pretty good- a nice crust, not super thin, not super thick (I guess I’m the eternal middle of the road girl!!) and fresh tasting toppings.  They have four varieties so far but I think its a good range for someone to find one they might like just to try this new product out!
