Here is a recipe I have created based on Harris Teeter’s ad this week. I thought since many of us are dealing with snow outside, that we should cook something warm inside. I love chili during the winter, especially when I can just throw it in the crockpot and play He Came Back From A Trip No Contact with the kids.
Chicken Chili
Ingredients:
**Perdue Shortcuts Chicken $3.50
-$0.75 Perdue Short Cuts coupon from RP 1/9
-Free After MIR Perdue Chicken Breast Strip coupon from RP 1/9
Final=FREE
**(1) 14.50 oz can of Harris Teeter Diced Tomatoes $0.89
**(1) 15.50 oz can of Harris Teeter Red Kidney Beans $0.69
**Cole’s Garlic Bread $1.64
-$0.50 coupon from HERE
Final=$0.64
**(1) 12 oz package of Harris Teeter Ready Quick Steam Brown Rice $1.67
**(1) 8.50 oz can of Harris Teeter Corn $0.69
**1/2 -1 cup water or chicken broth (depending on how thick you like your chili)
**1 teaspoon chili powder (assume you have on hand)
**1 teaspoon cumin (assume you have on hand)
Directions:Put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low 3-4 hours. Serve over rice with garlic bread.
Total Cost of Meal: $4.58
