>Thank you notes: a dying tradition? I hope not (PearTree Greetings Review & Giveaway)

>You know, when I had my baby shower when I was pregnant with Busy B, some of my mom’s friends across the country sent gifts- some large, some small, some bought, some handmade, some sentimental, some silly…but I was so touched that they would reach out to me like that to welcome our first child that I sat my overly hormonal self into a chair and let the words flow on a thank you note for each of them.  Every single one of them later commented to my mom that they were so happy to receive a thank you note from me, and how glad they were to know how we planned to use/were using, etc.

The fact that so many of these women were so surprised that I’d sent a note to thank them for thinking of us really shocked me- but my mom (and her mom!) instilled in us the importance of taking the time to thank someone for thinking of you- regardless of the size of the gesture.  So many people are so busy these days that I think thank you notes have become kind of a lost art, and I see them less and less.  People have told me they are surprised that I do thank you notes!!

I adore these thank you’s, such a fun activity for kids!!

The sample pack of thank you notes that Pear Tree sent for me to check out are just…in a word?  Awesome. They have such high quality, beautiful products, and I love that they want me to continue sharing them with my readers as a Pearista.  Plus, we all know I’m in love with all things that are monogrammed or personalized!!
