>Frances England- Mind of my Own CD (release date 11/9) Review & Giveaway

>

With songs like Cookies and Milk, Read Balloon and Bicycle, how can you not want to listen to this CD?  I love it.  I already have a very, very soft, warm fuzzy spot for Frances England, because she wrote a beautiful song for a sweet baby named Jamie who will forever hold a place in my heart, and she didn’t even know her.  Frances England is just, apparantly, awesome like that.  I mean it.

I think one of the reasons I love Frances’ music so much is that she’s a mom and a musician and her songs and lyrics just  seem to echo my life so many times that I often feel almost a connection with her.  Which is silly since I’m not sure I’ll ever actually meet her TO connect but still.  She’s just awesome- vibrant, energetic, and kids LOVE her!!  (Maybe she’ll come do a show in CT sometime, hint hint…nudge nudge…she DID try to get here for Jamie’s Run JK5K on November 7th but wasn’t able to).

Actually, when popping to Ms. England’s site, I found that I can embed this here, so YOU all can enjoy some of these songs, and get excited for this album to be released too!  (While there, check out her other albums.  We have Family Tree Album too and it’s long been one of our family favorites.
I love the sound of Frances England.  She has such a great voice and pairs it with fun, folky lyrics that make you want to just sing along and dance.  Her other two albums had a much softer, soothing sound- this is the same Frances, but with a bit more energy!  I love it!!
Songs on Mind of My Own include:

Mind of My Own (about children and independence- its really cute and fun the way Frances sings it)

Do you hear the birds singing?
Jacques Cousteau
Red Balloon
Ladybug
Place in your heart
Bicycle
High on the mountainside
Cookies and Milk
Vacation Delights
To Be (Listen to this one.  Not just the song, but the words.  Because there’s a great lesson for all of us to stop and take things in!)
Come back home
All the ways
Pieces of me
Big heart
I’m so excited to be able to offer one of my awesome readers a copy of Mind of My Own!!
