>Juppy Baby Walker Review & Giveaway (My Baby is Turning 1!)

>We got a chance to try out the pink version of the Juppy Baby Walker.  I’ve never been one to use traditional baby walkers, although I know they have been changed and made safer in years past, I am just terrified by them.  We have used the exersaucer and jumparoo with all 3 of my kids.  That said, my back is not what it was when my oldest started walking at 9 months and this is child #3- It’s not as easy for me to be bending down when Baby B wants to hold my hands and walk around.  (I would honestly rather she stay not walking a while longer, and be a baby a bit more…but that’s not my choice, I know.  Bittersweet, these milestones!!)

Anyway, when I heard about the Juppy, i was intrigued.  I also kind of chuckled because when the kiddos are in these, it looks almost like the marionette puppets.  Rest assured, they do NOT function this way.  The Juppy is nice because it allows the baby’s arms to be free, so they can hold them to help balance themselves.

From the Juppy Baby Walker site:

What is the Juppy Baby Walker?
The Juppy Baby Walker is a non traditional, parent-assisted baby walker used to teach babies how to walk sooner while minimizing dangerous falls. The baby is placed in the seat of the Juppy while mom or dad simply holds on to the straps, while standing upright, to give support to the baby. Typically parents tend to hold their babies by the hands or under the arms to teach them to walk. This causes stress and strain on the lower back of the parent and could cause injuries to the child’s arms or joints. The Juppy Baby Walker reduces your pain and eliminates possible injury to your child.

There’s a short video showing how the Juppy Baby Walker is supposed to work right on the home page of their website.

Of course, you could be cooking dinner like me and hear your almost 3 year old saying “Mommy, I put this on!! Look me!!”

(See Baby B’s little head in the corner?  Poor kid!! The big kids take control of EVERYTHING around here!!)
We have tested the Juppy Baby Walker for real, and my sincerest apologies.  This shot was the best of the bunch since my husband is otherwise engaged doing a new walkway out front and my 5 year old was the stand-in photographer:
She likes it well enough.  Seems to be comfortable in it.  I really like that she can use her arms to balance.  Baby B, of course, thinks that this, like anything else, is for her to bounce on, and quickly tries to make this a non-doorway jumper.  I like how small it is and how easy it is to transport.  The little satin pouch for storage is a nice touch!
I think the Juppy Baby Walker is pretty neat.  Parents with bad backs will love this like crazy!!
