>We are longtime lovers of YoBaby products (well, Stonyfield Farm in general) in the Bargain household. It is a love affair that began when Busy was a baby and has continued on through all 3 kids.
Right now the favorites are the 3-in-1 meal and the fruit &cereal lines. Baby B likes them because they taste yummy. I like them because I know they are all natural, organic ingredients- everything in the container is a good, healthy ingredient. I also love the convenience- when we’re out and about, its so easy to toss a small yogurt cup into the cooler bag with a spoon, and know she’ll have a good, wholesome meal (or in her case, snack, since my tiny little peanut eats more than my bigger 2 kids!). They are also an easy option if someone else is going to be around for mealtime, and isn’t used to feeding a tiny little baby who grabs at everything.
YoBaby Meals are made from ingredients you can actually pronounce. The sweet potato & apple is the biggest hit around here so I’ll share that ingredient list: CULTURED PASTEURIZED ORGANIC WHOLE MILK, ORGANIC APPLE PURÉE, NATURALLY MILLED ORGANIC SUGAR, ORGANIC SWEET POTATO PURÉE, PECTIN, ZINC GLUCONATE, VITAMIN D3. CONTAINS OUR EXCLUSIVE BLEND OF SIX LIVE ACTIVE CULTURES: S. THERMOPHILUS, L. BULGARICUS, L. ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, L. CASEI, AND L. RHAMNOSUS. Ok, maybe the active cultures aren’t the easiest thing to pronounce in the world. But really, if you compare that ingredient list to most brands in your grocer’s dairy section, this is nothing. I LOVE products that have no high fructose corn syrup.
The meals come in 3 flavors- the sweet potato & apple, pear & green beans, and peaches & squash. We haven’t tried the peach and likely won’t, as Busy and I are both allergic to peaches as is my father in law- maybe we should, but we just haven’t. Both of my bigger kids have tried these as well- they like them although when she read that there were vegetables in the yogurt, Busy looked at me like I’d lost my mind. She didn’t read the label until she’d eaten it. She thought it was yummy but is “too big” for baby food. Sigh.
YoBaby meals are something we try to keep in the house – its a good, wholesome snack or mini meal, made from all natural, organic ingredients. Its hard to go wrong with that combination!
