SmartMom sent me two of their teething pendants to review. What, you ask, are teething pendants? What is teething bling? Well, SmartMom jewelry makes necklaces, bangles and keychains (and now ’Tween Bling!) that teething babies and toddlers can chew and pull on that are made from phthalate-free, federally approved silicone. The material is non-toxic, latex-free, food–safe, even dishwasher-friendly!” SmartMom was started in 2002 by two moms who wanted a pretty and practical option for their children to pull on and chew on instead of their necklaces (which is what all 3 of my little ones have done). Fast forward to 2010 and you see SmartMom bling everywhere!! Even on celebrities– there’s a whole gallery of celeb photos right here on their site- check it out.
The first is this Turquoise color: 
Pretty, isn’t it? I love it. I actually have a shirt that matches it perfectly. I love matchy stuff. I also love that these necklaces come with breakaway clasps.
The second is this swirly pink (they call it Pink Camo)
Pink is my favorite color. Love the swirls. This one just seems so summery!! Baby Bargains loves it as well. She’s a discerning teether. 
) I’m a discerning mama. I want to know that what goes into my baby’s mouth is safe for her, and non toxic. Pretty and functional – awesome combo!!
I really do like these. They don’t hurt like my regular necklaces do when Baby B grabs on and won’t let go. It’s also handy and not really a risk to drop on the ground and get all yucky with germs and dirt and who knows what else.
I just noticed on the SmartMom site Send us your photos! Capture your little one playing with Teething Bling and you could win $500. You can find out where to send the photos on the “Contact Us” page of their site. I also noticed there is a cash giveaway EVERY day in June for Facebook fans (see below for FB link).
You can buy Teething Bling on the SmartMom site or look up a retailer to buy in person. The necklaces are $19.10 on the website. So…you can go buy one…OR you can win one!
